VINTON – Junior lefty Collin Hill will be on the mound tonight when William Byrd opens the Blue Ridge District baseball season. Byrd will host Lord Botetourt at 5 pm at Walthall Park.
This year’s district season is highly anticipated. Lord Botetourt is the defending district season champ and the Cavaliers are off to a 7-1 start. However, Northside is the defending state champ and the Vikings are undefeated. Alleghany is 6-1, Staunton River is 5-3, and newcomer Rockbridge is right around .500.
